Hey, I’m Lauryn

I’m Lauryn, the lady behind the camera. I get it, it’s kinda “awkward” having this person watching you do things that may be out of your comfort zone. Don’t worry! If anyone is awkward it’ll be me. I have one goal during our session & that is to get you out of your comfort zone & have fun! After all having your picture taken should be enjoyable not dreadful.

Let me start from the beginning. I was raised in West Michigan on a centennial farm. I lived off a dirt road with my family. I had horses, chickens, rabbits, cows, & many other animals growing up! Besides showing horses in High School, I was very creative in the arts. I was taking college courses my senior year. Then went on to college at Kendall College of Art & Design & finished my associates degree at FSU. During that time I found my passion for photography & BOOM here I am today! I trusted my gut and with the support of my husband, I started my own business. Something that I am super passionate about & love doing became my “job”. WHAT! I’m blessed to have this life & blessed for all the people it’s brought me.

While growing our family I realized not only did I want to capture the love between a couple but I wanted to capture the whole story. The cheesy saying, “first comes love, then come marriage, then comes a baby.” Yup, that’s what I wanted to capture. Your entire story! It may not even go in that order & that’s okay, it’s still worthy of being documented!! Every crazy, intimate, tiny little detail. From engagement, to becoming one, to starting a family, to growing your family! When the time comes in life & you need to say goodbye to a loved one, the very first thing you do is look back on photographs. THIS is why I do what I do. Let’s make these memories freeze in time.
